Terms of Booking

These terms apply to bookings for the 6-week beginner micro:bit coding workshops run by RaspiKidd, led by Kerry Kidd, at Perth Creative Exchange, Stormont Street, Perth. By booking, you agree to these terms, our Cancellation & Refund Policy at the cancellation policy page , and our Privacy Notice at the privacy notice .

1. About the workshops

The workshops are for children aged 8 to 16.
Sessions run on Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, from 4th November to 9th December 2026. Each session lasts one hour.
There are eight places per session. Single session and block bookings share the same eight places, and block bookings take priority.
Each place is for one child. Kerry Kidd supervises every session. Parents are welcome to stay.

2. Booking and payment

You can book a single session for £15, or the full six-week block for £75. The block works out at £12.50 per session.
Payment is taken securely through Stripe. Your place is confirmed once payment is complete.
You'll be asked for your child's name, age, and a contact phone number when you book.
Exact dates and times are shown on the booking page before you pay.

3. Cancellations, refunds and changes

Full details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy . In summary:

Block: a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the first session. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the first session are not eligible for a refund.
Single session: a full refund or a free transfer to another week if you cancel at least 48 hours before the session.
If we cancel a session, you can choose a free transfer or a refund for that session.
No refund is given if a child is removed from a session for unsafe or persistently disruptive behaviour.
Admin fee. A £1.50 deduction from any refund after a parent cancels. It doesn’t apply if we cancel or if the parent takes a free transfer.
To cancel or change a booking, email [email protected]. We'll confirm receipt by email.

4. Forms to complete before the first session

After booking, you'll receive a welcome email with the welcome questionnaire and the photo permission form. Please complete both before the first session.
If the questionnaire has not been returned, your child can still attend. We will collect the same information from you when you drop off at the first session, before your child joins the workshop.

5. Arrivals and collection

Children aged 8 to 11 must be collected by a parent, guardian or named adult.
Students aged 12 to 16 can leave alone at the end of a session only if the welcome questionnaire confirms this.
We keep a register of arrivals and departures for every session.
If a child has not been collected 15 minutes after the session ends, we will contact the emergency contact on the questionnaire, and then the parent or guardian.

6. Parents staying in the session

Parents are welcome to stay. Please sit in the seating area we set aside, rather than at the workshop tables.
Please don't handle other children's equipment or give instructions to children other than your own.
We may ask a parent to wait outside if their behaviour is disrupting the session.

7. Behaviour

Children are expected to listen to instructions, treat equipment and other people with respect, and tell the supervisor if they feel unwell or worried.
If a child is removed from a session for unsafe or persistently disruptive behaviour, we will contact the parent or guardian. No refund is given in these circumstances.

8. Health, safety and emergencies

Please keep your child's allergy, medical and emergency details up to date on the questionnaire. Tell us about any changes as soon as possible.
Any medication your child may need during a session stays with the parent or child, unless we have agreed in writing that we will keep it.
By completing the questionnaire, you give consent for emergency treatment, as set out there.
We have a written risk assessment for the sessions, which we can share on request.
Please follow the supervisor's instructions, particularly on the use of equipment.

9. Photos

We only take and use photos of children with written permission, given on the photo permission form.
How photos are stored and used is explained in our Privacy Notice. You can withdraw permission at any time.

10. Online safety

The workshop laptops are for the workshop activities only.
If a child sees or is sent anything online that worries them, they should tell the supervisor straight away.
We follow our Safeguarding Policy. If we have a concern about a child's safety, we may share information with Perth and Kinross children's social work, Police Scotland, or the STEM Learning Safeguarding team.

11. Changes to sessions

We confirm the exact dates and times before the sessions. If we need to change a session, we'll tell you by email as soon as possible.
The options for changes and refunds are set out in section 3 and the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

12. Insurance and liability

We hold public liability insurance for these sessions.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

13. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
